The Nottenkämper group of companies - mainly composed of Hermann Nottenkämper GmbH Co. KG and Nottenkämper Umweltdienste GmbH - is your powerful contact partner in terms of clay marketing, waste management and waste recycling in the Ruhr area and on the Lower Rhine. Furthermore, the group of companies includes the companies B+M Nottenkämper Gesellschaft für Bergbau und Mineralstoffe mbH & Co. KG, Aschevertriebsgesellschaft mbH & Co. KG and the harbour company Hafen Egbert Constantin GmbH & Co. KG.

For nearly four decades the company Nottenkämper has been engaged in clay extraction at the Gartroper Busch site; as a result of the continuing strong demand throughout the years, it was necessary to open up new extraction areas to meet the demand for this raw material subsequently.   The new clay pits are always filled with mineral substances (such as excavated earth, slag and ashes) and then the area is recultivated and reforested with high-quality plant stock.

The group of companies employs nearly 40 persons. In 2015 the head office of the company was relocated from Oberhausen to Hünxe. The depot of the container service will, however, still remain in Oberhausen.

The future corporate development will primarily take place at the Hünxe site. In spring 2014 the extension pit Eichenallee of 33,5 ha was authorized. A sustainable logistical optimization of the processes will be ensured by the planned harbour “Egbert Constantin“.
